Walk the ancient Roman Road from Durrës to Istanbul (well, at least a bit of it).
The Via Egnatia, constructed by the Romans in the 2nd century BCE under the direction of proconsul Gnaeus Egnatius, was a vital artery of the Roman Empire, stretching from Dyrrachium (modern Durrës, Albania) on the Adriatic coast to Byzantium (modern Istanbul). In Albania, this ancient road played a crucial role in facilitating trade, military movements, and cultural exchange, connecting the western Balkans to the eastern Mediterranean.
These tours take groups from the starting point in Golem down through hills and beautiful countryside towards Kavaje, where hikers can quench their post-walk thirst and hunger in a local bar before setting off back to Durrës.
Transport from Durrës to the start point and then back again is included in the price of €25.
These tours will likely start in Spring 2026
