Amor Bookstore

This cosy and safe space by the Stadium is crammed full of books and ideas. Amor Bookstore has the largest stock of English-language books in Durrës and hosts diverse workshops and special literary-themed events.

There's a small café area so you can enjoy a good coffee while you browse.

The space is an ideal location for small literary events: readings, poetry workshops, book clubs and children's reading groups. Recent events include a British Book night where participants dressed up in Shakespeare-era costumes and read from British literary classics.

But the space is also free to use for groups or individuals who would like to host other events, even non-literary ones. Building a community is what is important at Amor.

Current clubs and spaces using Amor

Once a month, normally on a Monday, the Durrës Life Book Club meet to discuss books nominated and voted on by the club members. The next meeting of this club is on Monday, May 18 at 15>00. We will discuss Lea Ypi's Free: Coming of Age at the End of History.

Every Tuesday, the space hosts the Durrës Toastmasters Club, a public speaking training society.
